MASTER'S MESSAGE
Welcome to the 2nd Ontario District of the Cardinal McGuigan Province.
The Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus is the highest degree of our Order. We encourage all Catholic Men to join our Order and we encourage all Third Degree members to join the Fourth Degree.

We have learned the lessons of Charity, Unity and Fraternalism in our first, second and third degrees. The Fourth Degree is dedicated to promoting “ Patriotism ” which is Love of God, His Church and our Country, Canada.

Members of the Fourth Degree, Knights of Columbus, dressed in our black tuxedos, join the Sir Knights of our Assemblies in Honour Guard and Colour Corps outings proudly wearing our Regalia - the Cape, Chapeau and Sword. We are recognized as the visible arm of the Catholic Church and as such we must act accordingly, as Catholic Gentlemen.

Our sword, carried by Sir Knights, is the Sword of Faith. The symbol of the sword demonstrates the steadfastness of the Sir Knights in their, love of Jesus Christ and His Blessed Mother, Mary, Defence of our Faith and Holy Mother the Church and the protection of those unable to protect themselves.

The 2nd Ontario District Fourth Degree is comprised of 37 Assemblies and more than 3300 Sir Knights in the four Diocese of St. Catharines, Hamilton, Peterborough and the Arch Diocese of Toronto.

My term as District Master comes to a close on August 31st at which time the new Master of the District will take over the reigns. It is my wish that he will have a successful term as our new Master and I offer my complete support to him and would expect that every Faithful Navigator of this great Second Ontario District will give him all the support necessary to run our District in a successful manner.
My thanks to all of the thirty seven assemblies in our district and the Faithful Navigators and Officers of the assemblies for their continued support.

Vivat Jesus
Vernard A. Nelligan, Master
